The Yucaipa Preservation Society (YPS) was founded to uphold and protect Yucaipa’s rural character, community values, good governance, and quality of life. Through volunteerism, community involvement, and the generosity of donors like you, we support efforts to preserve what makes Yucaipa special. This is not about politics - it’s about values. It’s about ensuring Yucaipa doesn’t fall victim to unchecked urban sprawl and environmental degradation. Your tax-deductible donation helps fund expert environmental consultants and legal action necessary to protect our community. Two CEQA writs have been filed in San Bernardino Superior Court challenging the Serrano Estates development and the Wine Country Specific Plan—a sprawling 1,093-acre project on the North Bench. These developments, approved by a prior City Council, are located in CalFire designated “Very High Fire Severity Zone”, and are widely believed by experts to violate CEQA due to inadequate wildfire impact analysis and other environmental shortcomings. Neither plan is consistent with Yucaipa’s General Plan. Please join us in preserving Yucaipa. Your contribution directly supports legal and environmental efforts to safeguard our community’s future.
